Paintings and drawings made by children from the townships of South Africa.
The children are involved in MKI’s educational projects.
The art will be sold to benefit these educational programs of MKI.

RaboBank Voorne-Putten Rozenburg zet op deze avond het MKI en zijn oprichter Dr. Harold Robles in het zonnetje.Tijdens de Rabobank Inspiratiebijeenkomst van dinsdagavond 26 oktober 2010 zal Dr. Harold Robles key note speaker zijn in Theater De Stoep in Spijkenisse. Dergelijke bijeenkomsten van de Rabobank trekken volle zalen en zijn alom bekend.
Die avond zal Dr. Harold Robles het werk van het MKI toelichten en promoten bij de ondernemers in deze regio ten zuiden van Rotterdam.
De Rabobank Voorne Putten Rozenburg organiseert driemaal per jaar een dergelijk netwerkevent. Regionaal en landelijk bekende ondernemers werken daaraan mee. Het thema op 26 oktober zal zijn: "Uitblinkers". Tussen de bank en het MKI zijn warme banden ontstaan, waardoor Dr. Robles is uitgenodigd om zijn werk toe te lichten en te promoten. May 8, 2010 - July 8, 2010: Traveling exhibition: South Africa through the eyes of Patricia Steur for MKIThis traveling exhibition will travel through Sandton Hotels in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria. The exhibition will start in both Sandton IJsselhotel in Deventer and Sandton Resort Bad Boekelo in Boekelo. The full schedule will be published shortly.

Special Auction for MKI at Sandton Chateau De Raay in Baarlo: Auctioneer: Kenneth HerdigeinWie Sandton Château De Raay zegt, denkt aan kunst. In dit prachtige Noord-Limburgse kasteelhotel in Baarlo zijn alle ruimtes voorzien van schilderijen en beeldhouwwerken. Op het landgoed is ook een Art Centre gevestigd. Tijdens het jaarlijkse aspergefestijn voor relaties van het hotel, op 3 juni a.s., worden werken van Anton Heyboer geveild ten bate van het MKI. Ook komt een speciaal drieluik onder de hamer gemaakt door jonge kunstschilders, ter ere van hun beroemde voorganger die vijf jaar geleden stierf.

MKI – 46664 ProjectOn November 14 this year MKI will start a very special relationship with the 46664 campaign of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
An event will be hosted by the Bijenkorf in Amsterdam on November 14 at 2PM to celebrate the start of this relationship.
During this event members of the cast of the Nelson Mandela Musical (www.mandelamusical.nl) will be present, including Kenneth Herdigein, the man who so beautifully plays the role of Nelson Mandela.
Also attending are the South African Ambassador to the Netherlands, and other dignitaries.

Press Lunch Sandton HotelsMKI and Sandton Hotels will officially start their partnership with a press lunch in Sandton’s flagship Hotel in Deventer.
During the lunch Mrs. Ans Markus (www.ansmarkus.nl), a well known Dutch artist will present her special Sandton bracelet which she designed in honour of the new relationship between MKI and the Sandton Hotels.
This new bracelet will become part of MKI’s YOELL collection.

16 juni / 25 juli 2009Zomercompetitie steunt via Pifworld Nederlandse non-profitorganisatie Medical Knowledge Institute (MKI)
De Zomercompetitie is een voetbalcompetitie tussen verschillende bedrijven. Deze competitie wordt georganiseerd door Maarten Tuininga vanuit zijn sportevenementenbureau Open Mind experience. De afgelopen twee jaar deden vooral bedrijven op de Zuidas in Amsterdam mee.
De steun voor het MKI bestaat uit 10% van het totale inschrijfgeld. Dit is per team een bedrag van € 79,50 voor het MKI. Daarnaast start men per 1 mei met een andere competitie tussen alle deelnemende bedrijven onderling: wie haalt het meeste geld binnen voor MKI. Voor de winnaar is een reis voor twee personen naar Zuid-Afrika beschikbaar.

The new MKI Health Information Centre at Cotland in Soweto will open its doorsCotlands, one of South Africa’s oldest and most well-loved children’s charities, has entered into a healthcare education partnership with the Medical Knowledge Institute (MKI). The Health Information Centres are an initiative of MKI and will provide health education and healthcare information to the general public from all walks of life, for the purpose of health improvement, taking into consideration their individual cultural sensitivities. The Centre in Soweto will open on May 12, 2009 and will from then on provide the local community with health care related workshops, trainings etcetera. For more on the centres, click here.

MKI will be presenting at the District Conference of the RotaryMKI will have a special presence during the District Conference of the Rotary D1600 in the Netherlands on April 18, 2009. During this day the Club will promote the activities of MKI, and the YOELL products will be used for fundraising.
